The objectives of the Chamber are:

• To promote and encourage the development of commercial interests in El Cerrito, Contra Costa County and California;
• To establish reciprocal relations with neighboring cities;
• To assemble, preserve and disseminate information concerning El Cerrito to those seeking homes, commercial and industrial locations;
• To maintain an intelligent and considerate interest in the development and support of good streets, highways, schools and public parks and places; and
• To act harmoniously for the moral and civic integrity of El Cerrito and to increase its wealth and population while fostering a general welfare of the community.
