Networking Opportunities

The Chamber offers monthly Lunch meetings and numerous Mixers throughout the year to provide professional, enjoyable opportunities to connect with your business and community neighbors, building relationships that can lead to increased business.


The Chamber receives a substantial number of inquires every month from people looking for particular a business, from house painters, accountants, web designers, etc.  Naturally, Chamber Members are referred whenever applicable.  Our office has display space for distributing your business cards and promotional material.

Advertising Programs

Great exposure is available to you utilizing printed advertising flyers inserted in the monthly Byline newsletter that reaches close to 300 readers each month and more online.  Display ads are another option for moderate cost. 

Usually, our El Cerrito Marketing Card reaches over 14,000 households per quarter.  See Marketing & Advertising Page!

Outreach Events

The Chamber loves to host Grand Openings! When a new business opens in town,  we will bring the Giant Scissors, red ribbon and help with promotion.  We'll invite the Mayor and other city officials to come out for the ribbon cutting and celebration.

The Byline, written and produced by the Chamber, is a professional newsletter mailed monthly as well as being available for online reading. See Byline page to read current edition and for information on submitting articles.

Professional Development

The Chamber organizes in-depth workshops to provide learning opportunities on relevant issues such as minimum wage changes, social media marketing, etc.   Our monthly Lunch meetings always provide notable guests speaking on topics useful to business and the general public.


The Chamber pays attention to local and state governmental matters that could hurt or help your business. The Chamber has come forward to City Hall in support of the business community on various issues.
